Answer: Membership is open to anyone who trained as a nurse, regardless of whether they practiced. This includes those who retired at the government-stipulated age, retired early voluntarily, retired for medical reasons, or never practiced after training for personal reasons. The Fellowship is non-racial, apolitical, non-religious, and does not discriminate based on previous training grade or nursing status.
Answer: Our main objectives are to provide a supportive network for retired nurses, empower members with current health information and life skills, and offer professional services to the community. Our activities reflect this through social visits, hospital and geriatric home visits, educational demonstrations (like baking or exercises), celebrating health days, and supporting each other during times of joy and bereavement.
Answer: Yes, to maintain the activities and objectives of the Fellowship, there is a stipulated one-time joining fee for new members. Additionally, other fees may be deemed necessary from time to time to support our programs and events. All financial decisions are made transparently by the Executive Committee and approved by the general membership during meetings.
Answer: Our Fellowship is built on a strong foundation of values that guide all our actions. These include upholding human dignity, integrity, confidentiality, genuineness, and a commitment to serving others and ourselves with respect, fairness, and equality.
